If you want to keep your facial skin in perfect shape, you need to stop using harmful cosmetic products every day. Here are 8 common things we put on our face which should be avoided:
Hairspray
Some women like to use a bit of hairspray in order to fix the makeup on their face, but this is a seriously bad habit for your skin. Hairspray can dry out your skin and make it look old and bad, and can also irritate it which can lead to infections.
Hair color
If you want to color your brows, there are better ways to do it than commercial hair color. Use a vegetable-based brow mascara or henna in order to keep your facial skin clean and healthy.
Foot cream
Foot creams can break down hard calluses, but they should be used on the feet alone, not the face. They contain harsh chemicals which can irritate your skin and harm the top layer.
Deodorants
No, deodorants won’t keep your makeup from running down your face. Never use it or a hairspray to fix your makeup – they’re detrimental for your facial skin and can easily irritate it.
Shampoo
Shampoos can certainly clean your hair of dirt and oil, but they’re not designed to deal with the delicate skin on your face. Stop washing your face with shampoo as it will irritate your skin and make it flaky.
Vegetables
Applying vegetables (other than cucumber) on your facial skin is often the reason for clogged pores and acne breakouts.
Mayo
Using may on your face may hydrate your skin, but it will also make it more oily and acidic. Mayonnaise can clog your pores and trap dirt and oil inside them, which can later lead to breakouts.
Body lotions
Body lotion is designed for your body, not the face. It may sound like a good idea to some people as it’s hydrating, but these lotions are also thicker and contain fragrance which can irritate the delicate skin on your face. Stay away from body lotions and stick to facial lotions instead if you want to keep your skin clean and healthy.
