Potatoes are a healthy vegetable that originated from South America, but can be found everywhere around the world. They can be prepared in different ways and are equally delicious fried, boiled or steamed. However, potatoes are most popular in the form of French fries.

Fries are often a part of fast food meals, but they are tasty even when served on their own with a bit of mayo and ketchup. They are probably the most delicious guilt food ever due to the crunchy and soft consistency and fine golden color. However, French fries are very harmful to our health as well – experts have related them to numerous health problems such as cardiovascular diseases and obesity. The problem doesn’t lie in the vegetable – it is the oil they’re being fried in that’s causing trouble.

Ingredients

  • 5-7 potatoes
  • 2 egg whites
  • Salt, paprika and black pepper to taste

Preparation

Peel the potatoes and cut them to pieces, putting them in a bowl for later use. Now, beat the egg whites well and add the seasoning, then pour the mixture over the potatoes. Preheat your oven to 200-200 C, then bake the potatoes inside for about 10 minutes or until they’re golden. Take them out and enjoy the healthy fries!
